What Exactly is Going On Around Here?

Back in 2003, a close friend of mine, Aaron Schatz started Football Outsiders, a site filled with all sorts of smarty-pants football statistics and analysis. Early on, he asked me to create comics for the site (presumably so he could run cartoons as equally confusing as the rest of the material on the site...) and I've been doing so ever since.

So what's the deal with all the goofy graphics? Well, due to my creative genius, (and in no way due to abject laziness), I've often borrowed artwork from the serial comic strip "Gil Thorp".

Wait a minute, who the hell is Gil Thorp?
"Gil Thorp" is an actual syndicated comic that has been around since the early mezozoic era. It's about a high school coach with slick helmet hair...and well, I could go into further details, but if you've read this far, you'd probably ought to just go check out my blog This Week in Milford. Yeah, the strip is a train wreck. Just try to look away. But don't say I didn't warn you.

In addition to the weekly comic for the Football Outsiders site, I also do the highly realistic caricatures of staff members, as well as special projects, like drawing the Fantasy Football Hall of Fame class of 2006, which you can check out here, if you're willing to scroll down a bit...
